I get new lamp in my hands, Trelock LS730 “Inspired German Innovation”.
I must admit it is quite cheap as for the "powerled" bike lamp - only 35 euro / 45$. ![]() Some marketing crap : - max. 15 LUX / 1500 CD - ECOPOWER™ - 6 hours of full light output, over 30 hours of light output. ![]() - large On/Off button - single-hand snap-fit fastener - battery change toolsfree - integrated charging socket - battery indicator - colours: black and silver So we can expect fully regulated bike lamp ![]() The first thing, that you see after opening this lamp is huge heatsink – the biggest heatsink that I have ever seen in the led bike lamp ![]() ![]() After unscrewing the head you can get to led - centered by some plastic ring on heatsink, leverage the ring and you will get to the led, it is R-bin Luxeon I (somebody forget about thermal paste I think). ![]() ![]() And some electronics… ![]() ![]() Before and after mod… ![]() And some photos to compare CatEye HL-EL530 (luxeon I) and Sigma Cubelight (halogen 2,4W) ![]() Conclusion Small, reliable, not to bright – but good value for money. If producer will put more current to the led ie. 500mA (big heatsink) it can be the best bike lamp in the class ![]() ** WARNING ** After 2 days of use lamp was destroyed - the lock in the head is crappy and lamp simply opened itself after bump on the street and was destroyed with my new set of accus under the car's wheels. Producer didn't respond to my e-mails. Guarantee claim was rejected. I have noticed that it was not only my lamp case so I’m writing this warning. |
