SR95S UT arrived few days ago


Description

The SR95S UT offers an impressive modification to Olight's already capable SR95 Ultimate Thrower rescue light. The SBT-70 LED is the newest in high-output, far throwing technology. A specially designed reflector delivers light with the incredible range. Illumination for up to 1000 meters is possible with this light, making it an industry leader in performance, while an extra 250 lumens compared to the previous SR95 UT puts maximum output at 1250 Lumens.

A tough, full-bodied aluminum body holds a high capacity 7800 mAh, 7.4v rechargeable lithium battery. The body also features a charge indicator and integrated port for easy recharges. The unique engineering of the head and reflector features a "Hollow out" design for optimum heat dissipation and weight distribution. This gives the SR95S UT a balanced feel in the hand without too much weight at the head of the light.

Three output modes, constant and momentary on functions, and an incredibly brilliant strobe can be accessed with the large format side switch designed for rapid and comfortable use, even in thick gloves.

My impressions

+ Very nice packaging, suitcase
+ This is a HUGE flashlight, looks very impressive, I like the head "hollow out" design
+ Precisely centered led
+ Clean, dust free, lens, reflector with thick GITD red o-ring
+ Nice black anodizing
+ Smooth threads with thick O-rings
+ Battery indicator
+ New, bigger switch is better than my SR51., "softer" and more comfortable (and the switch button is glow in the dark)
+ Very comfortable shoulder strap
+ Stable tail stand to serve as a candle
+ Beautiful pure white tint (in all modes)
+ No irritating flickering (pwm etc.) (all modes are perfect)
+ Beam quality (absolutely no rings on the wall)
+ Active thermal management (not a simple step-down timer)


- disadvantage the head design, difficult to clean


Other: The battery pack is good, easy to use, but I would like to see a separate battery tube (optional accessory) with 6*18650 holder.
