Test/Review of AW IMR18490 1200mAh (Red)
AW IMR18490 1200mAh (Red)
Official specifications:
High current 18490 (Same as 18500) from AW, the 15C means 15*1200mA -> 18A, as can be seen below it is probably a bit to high. The cells are not maches perfectly for capacity, but acceptable. The 10A trace looks fine, 15A is a rather high load for the cell and 20A is too high. Conclusion The cells has fairly good performance, but compared to other 18490/18500 cells it is nothing special. Notes and links How is the test done and how to read the charts How is a protected LiIon battery constructed More about button top and flat top batteries Compare to 18650 and other batteries
